All Valley Smiles is all about patient comfort. It is not uncommon for people to be anxious before getting their dental work done. However, there is no reason to be anxious at all.

First, before performing any treatment that is potentially uncomfortable, you will be given a local anesthetic to prevent pain.

If you still feel anxious, don't worry - we have "Laughing Gas" (Nitrous Oxide) available in all our treatment rooms. Nitrous Oxide is a gas that helps you feel calm and relaxed and only stays in your body a little longer than you breathe it in, with very little side effects that will go away very quickly. You won't be able to drive right away so be sure to arrange for someone to drive for you for at least three hours. However, Nitrous Oxide should not interfere with any of your other planned activities after you leave our office.
